ABOUT US...

Who we are????

We are all dachshund owners, friends and lovers of the breed.  Our group came about in the summer of 2005 as we sat around and thought about getting together for a day in the park.  That day in the park turned out to be such a fun time for both the owners and the dogs that we have decided to continue this endeavor.  If you are a dachshund lover and would like to be part of this FUN group....please sign our guest log book on this website and we will include you in our emailings that go out to the group.  OR....if you want to email, the address is hawaiidach@yahoo.com

After our first Midsummer Gathering in 2005, we continue to meet at least quarterly for a variety of events as well as educational opportunities in learning more about caring and nurturing your dachshund.  2007 has indeed been a busy year beginning in January with our Year of the Dach picnic, the Summer Gathering and October marked our third Halloweiner Event.    

Special Friends in our Universe

We are so fortunate to have special 'souls' in our Universe who can reach past their own lives and embrace others.  This month, we would like to pay tribute to the special people who have provided homes to our fellow dachs when they no longer had one.  This photo montage is to celebrate the rescued dachs and their owners - who opened not only their homes but also their hearts to them.
